Pamela Chestek practices in trademark, copyright, open source, advertising and marketing law. She has worked in both firm and in-house environments for a variety of industries – footwear and apparel, software, design, and retail are few. She has been an adjunct law professor and often writes and speaks about copyright and trademark law, particularly about technology and open source, and including scholarly articles on the subjects. She served as a Board member of the Open Source Initiative and immediate past chair of the License Review Committee, responsible for the review and approval of new open source licenses. She is admitted to the bar in six states and is a member of the American Law Institute.
