
Paul Jurcys, PhD is a copyright, data privacy, and AI attorney based in San Francisco. Alongside his teammates at Prifina, he works on building tools that empower individuals through greater control over their personal data. He believes the digital environment is becoming increasingly human-centric, and that sensors and human-generated data can help people live happier and more meaningful lives.
Paul’s interests center on innovation and its role in facilitating creativity, as well as advancing fairness and equity so that more people can benefit from emerging technologies. His primary areas of focus include copyright law, data privacy, and the commercialization of intellectual property assets.
He is also committed to sharing knowledge with the next generation. Paul is a Teaching Fellow at Vilnius University Faculty of Law, where he teaches CopyrightX, a joint course with Harvard Law School, as well as data privacy and comparative legal traditions.
